Top dog-friendly events in Melbourne this spring and summer
With summer on the horizon, there’s no better excuse to get out and about with your furry pal....and Melbourne’s pooches definitely won’t be disappointed with this year’s line-up. From pup-friendly pub crawls to dog-loving DJs, here are some of the doggie dates you’ll want to mark down in the calendars this season!
Pizza and pooches at Cleveland Winery

There’s only one thing better than our beloved doggos, and that’s when our beloved doggos are accompanied by a solid slice of our favourite food. So if you’re looking to venture outside of Melbourne’s city centre for a dog’s day out, be sure to stop by Cleveland Winery in Lancefield for their Pizza and Pooches event. The special will be running every Sunday from 12-3pm this spring and summer, so go along, take your furbaby and tuck into a slice of woodfired heaven!
Doggy Day Out Pakenham
Where: 4 Olympic Way, Pakenham
When: 1st December, 10am-3pm
If you’re looking for a free and fun-filled outing with your furry friend this spring, we recommend heading over to Pakenham on 1st December for the aptly named Doggy Day Out. The event is set to feature a heap of activities for four-legged guests, including a free agility playground, puppy splash zone and dog obedience demonstrations throughout the day. If you think your pal is up for the challenge, don’t forget to enter them into the comp for best trick or best dressed pooch, or be one of the first 300 guests to receive a gift in exchange for a gold coin donation to PETstock Assist!
Paws marketplace Christmas Doggie Market

Paws Marketplace will be running their special Christmas-themed Doggie Market on 15th December for all pooches who’ve made it onto this year’s nice list; and with over 25 stalls featuring local makers and pooch-friendly products, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect christmas prezzie for your furry pal.
Puppy Pub Crawl

If you like your dog-friendly dates accompanied with your favourite drink in hand, you’ll love the latest initiative from the brains behind Puppy Pub Crawl. Inspired by their own fur-friendly outing, the organisers have put together a range of pooch-friendly pub crawls in various locations across the city where you can meet and greet fellow furry friends. Whilst you enjoy a glass of your favourite concoction, your pooch will be treated to some fur-friendly (and alcohol-free) snacks of their own - we’re talking doggie martinis, peanut butter biscuits and dog-friendly ice-cream!
