Dog-friendly events in Perth you won’t want to miss this season!
Spring has finally sprung in Western Australia, and the change in season has brought along plenty of exciting surprises for Perth’s pawrents and their pooches! From fur-friendly photo booths to four-legged fashion shows, this year more than ever it seems Perth has gone the extra mile to welcome our pups, and we’re fully on board with it here at Pooky and Boo. Here are a few of the dog-friendly events you won’t want to miss this season.
Henry Summer: Pooch-A-Palooza
Woof at Whiteman
When: 3rd November 2019, 10am-4pm
Where: Whiteman Park
The creators behind Made-It Markets will be topping of another year of successful dog-friendly events with its final installment of Woof at Whiteman on 3rd November 2019. It promises to be a great day out, with plenty of pup-friendly stalls, food trucks, live music and kid’s entertainment for the two-legged troublemakers. Don’t forget to take your four-legged friend for a stroll around the nearby reserves for an added spot of local sight-seeing!
Perth pet Expo 2019
When: 16th and 17th November, 9am-4pm
Where: Claremont Showground
Returning for the sixth year running, the Perth Pet Expo will be back in WA on 16th November to welcome furbabies of all shapes and sizes. This year’s event is full of attractions dedicated to our furry friends, ranging from your standard animal farm to the weird and wonderful (we’re talking camel rides and a canine aquatic competition)! You can even have your fur-friend strut their stuff in the best-dressed pet competition, or send in a snap of you and your pooch for a chance to become the face of next year’s event. Pooch-A-Palooza
When: 24th November, 1pm-4pm
Where: Henry Summer
Long-hailed a popular venue amongst our hooman companions, Henry Summer will be bringing in the spring vibes in style this season, and it looks like our furry friends have bagged a priority ticket to the show. Their much-anticipated Pooch-A-Palooza (which by the way is free!) promises to be packed with treats for our four-legged pals, from doggy clothing stalls and fur-friendly photo booths to a dedicated off-lead play area and the highlight of the event - the Mut Strutt doggy fashion show (sign-ups encouraged on the day). And don’t worry - two legged attendees will be receiving a treat of their own, with a range of off-the-menu food specials inspired by our one and only furry friends.
Pawty at Melville
When: 1st December, 10am-2pm
Where: Bob Gordon Reserve
After gaining quite the reputation amongst Perth’s pooches for their ultra tasty treats, the makers behind Frankie Loves Barkery have a new surprise in store with the launch of their very own dog-friendly events venture, Perth Market Co. The tail-wagging lineup kicks off later this year with their very first dog-friendly market, Pawty at Melville. The event is set to feature a range of tongue-wagging surprises, from fur-friendly treat stalls to tasty food trucks and a chance to meet some of Perth’s most Insta-famous pups. Make sure you mark the calendars folks!
